After it was announced the Bollywood Vidya Balan will be performing in another item song in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s ‘Ferrari Ki Sawari’ it was presumed that it would be another hot number from the actress. But in some disappointment it has been cleared by the makers that the songs will have more of an aesthetic edge and the oomph factor will be toned down.

Balan will be performing the traditional folk dance ‘Lavni’ and with ‘Chikni Chemli’s popularity, it was presumed that the actress will be coming up with a similar number. After enough discussions and trying out nine different looks Chopra, Balan and director Rajesh Mapuskar selected the ‘Lavani’ form.

Sources from the production unit say that this will be a less sexy lavani and the authenticity towards the dance form will be maintained. Mapuskar confirmed that they have finally zeroed down to lavani and are looking forward to it.

The director also said that Balan is excited too with the song and will be rehearsing for about three weeks.

The character of Vijay Dinanath Chauhan is back on screen. The Karan Johar’s version of ‘Agneepath’ released on January 26, 2012 got a record opening with Rs 25 crore on the very first day.

The record has surpassed the collections of the recently released movies like ‘Bodyguard’ and ‘Ra.One’. On the opening day Shahrukh Khan’s ‘Ra.One’ collected Rs. 18 crore, while Salman Khan’s ‘Bodyguard’ collected Rs. 22 crore.

But the Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt starrer remake of the 1990 movie has gone way beyond what was expected. Hrithik who played the role played by Amitabh Bachchan expressed his joy on his Twitter account and thanked all his fans for the love and support.

Actress Priyanka Chopra was equally excited over the response and thanked her fans. As the movie was released on Republic Day, the theatres experienced 90 to 95 percent occupancy. Anant Varma the business head of DT cinemas said that the film has had an excellent opening and was the most eagerly awaited.

The makers of the movie ‘Talaash’ have released the first trailer of the movie. Aamir Khan in the movie is seen playing the role of a cop while he tried to unfold the truth while in search of a criminal.

The movie has been directed by Reema Kagti who has roped in Kareena Kapoor, who plays the role of a prostitute, while Rani Mukherjee is seen worried and tensed in Indian outfits. The trailer is indeed breathtaking and has shown Aamir Khan at his best.

It has also given a clear idea that the movie is a quest for Aamir as an officer who is in search for a criminal and searches for the clues by interrogating the prostitutes and passing through rough waters. The movie has been jointly produced by Aamir Khan, Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani.

It was reported today on  Jan 27^th  that former Bollywood star Manisha Koirala was seen completely drunk and haggard at ex-boyfriend Prashant Chaudhari’s new restaurant’s opening party at Versova over the weekend.

According to onlookers the actress was almost unrecognizable in the state she was in. She was also seen more or less in the same state at another party hosted by Rohit Roy to celebrate the launch of his new film Shaukeen, where Manisha turned up looking quite haggard and disheveled.

Speculators are pointing the finger at Manisha’s recent marital woe’s to be the source of this disparity. 2010 saw Manisha marry her knight in shining armor, Nepalese businessman Samrat Dahal , who soon turned out be anything but, and Manisha was soon seen tilting between happy and unhappy in her posts on a social networking site. Going as far as once calling Samrat her worst enemy, which was covered up by Manisha’s family as a “minor tiff between husband and wife”. However Manisha recently revealed to close friends her decision to divorce Samrat soon.

On Jan 26^th Agneepath opened all over India amid hopes that it will exceed the record opening of BODYGUARD which racked in Rs.21.6 cr during its opening week. The long ques seen at the advance booking windows for Agneepath was spelling a similar success and after the first screening of the film concluded on Monday night, attended by the cast and crew of the film it became more than clear that Karan Johar’s Agneepath was set for creating a blast at the box-office.

And on Thursday, 26 January, AGNEEPATH proved all expectations right by setting a whole new record for one of the biggest openings ever for a Hindi film. Shown to jam packed cinemas or multiplexes, Agneepath accumulated a massive total at the end of Day 1 in India and the opening week is expected to easily cross over into the Rs21.5 cr net mark.
While BODYGUARD had the edge of being approx 132 mins, so it attained more showings at cineplexes, Agneepath is 170 mins approx and will not be enjoying as many showings, yet it seems set to over run BODYGUARD’s opening run and set its own record at the Indian box office.

The first look poster and trailer video of Aamir Khan’s upcoming Hindi film ‘Talaash’ was released with ‘Agneepath’. The video shows Aamir Khan, Rani Mukerji and Kareena Kapoor as the prominent characters.

Reema Kagti, who had earlier directed ‘Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd.’ is returning with ‘Talaash’.

‘Talaash’ is one of the most awaited 2012 films. The movie has been primarily shot in Mumbai and parts of it in Pondicherry. ‘Taalash’ released its first look poster on January 25th and it is the first digital poster in Bollywood. The movie is supposed to be a psychological thriller which is written by Reema Kagti as well.

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is now all set to enter television with a new and unique reality show. Recently, the studio where the actor was shooting for the show caught fire, but due to ample presence of mind and intellect no casualties or injuries were reported.

On January 23, 2012, fire broke out at the Vrundavan studios in Madh Island due to sparks in the lighting section. Reports mentioned that the fire quickly spread to the entire floor and could even result in a major mishap or even loss of lives.

But as the actor, who is known to be a perfectionist had placed a team in case of such mishaps. Even before the fire brigade landed the accident spot the whole team got in to action and doused the fire in no time.

The fire on the sets caused a loss of Rs 1 crore but the actor was happy that there wasn’t any reports of injuries or casualties.

It seems the recent turmoil in Demi Moors life is playing havoc on her health, physical as well as mental. Late Monday night on Jan 23^rd the soon-to-be-ex Mrs. Kutcher was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital. Paramedics reportedly spent 30 minutes to make sure she was ok before rushing her to the hospital.

Even though Moore’s rep insists that she is just suffering from exhaustion, but un-named hospital sources revealed that Demi is to be “placed in a facility” and get treatment for “substance abuse,” which substance? Is yet to be revealed.

However, now that the “stress” cat is out of the bag, Demi’s reps are busy doing damage control, according to them “Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health,”
