Among the many people who are awaiting the release of their family members from the clutches of the terrorists here is Bollywood actor Ashish Chaudhary, whose sister and brother-in-law are held hostage at the Oberoi Trident Hotel.

‘My sister Monica and her husband have been inside the hotel along with maybe 40 other hostages. They came here for dinner last night, but now they are not answering any calls,’ he told a news channel Thursday.

‘My parents have been here since last night and when we last heard from them, they told us that they have seen two terrorists and have heard a lot of gun shots. The International Film Festival of India kick started in Goa with film star Rekha inaugurating the event. The film fest promises a slew of film screenings with Bollywood celebs in tow.

India’s most prestigious International Film Festival saw a grand opening in Goa with evergreen actress Rekha inaugurating the ceremony. Nearly 225 films from across the globe will be screened during the next 10 days. Rekha says, "It’s a great pleasure and honor to do this. Thank you for choosing me to do this." Amrita Rao played host and many other Bollywood stars made appearances on opening night.

Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan held a lavish party at the Billion Dollar hotel in Dubai over the weekend.

Says a source, "After the launch party of Atlantis, The Palm in Dubai, hosted by international hotelier, Sol Kerzner (Chairman- Kerzner International) and Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem,  SRK and Gauri hosted a party at their Atlantis Bridge Suite (costs £14,000 a night)."

After swinging the nation by teaming up with Snoop Dogg for the ‘Singh is Kinng’ chartbuster, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is now all set to shake a leg with former Baywatch babe Carmen Electra, for a song in his upcoming flick.

Producer Sajid Nadiadwala seems to be banking upon the Hollywood presence in his action flick ‘Kambakkth Ishq’, as he has reportedly signed in the American beauty Carmen Electra for a special song in the film. Prior to this deal, Sajid had roped in the likes of Sylvester Stallone, Brandon Routh and Denise Richards for cameos in the film.

According to our source, it will be a promotional track, featuring Akshay and Carmen Electra, who is expected to come down to Mumbai in February next year to start shooting for the song.

Well, Carmen is going to be the second international pin-up girl to come to India early next year, after Barbara Mori, who will come down to Mumbai for Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kites’. Here’s hoping that the sizzling beauties get the men drooling over them with their oomph!

The story (Ghai) mirrors a universal truth. Greed leads to disputes and in turn, ruins all relationships. A fact you’ve heard or witnessed time and again in real life. While the story is captivating, the screenplay doesn’t really do justice to the thought. Also, Rahman’s music acts as a soothing balm, but the problem is, it takes time to grow on the listener. Yet, in all fairness, Yuvvraaj is a notch above the commonplace. If you intend spending your hard-earned money on it or devoting 3 hours of your precious time on Ghai’s new outing, chances are you won’t regret it.
