Sanjay Dutt launches Audi R8 car

German luxury carmaker Audi on Friday (November 7) unveiled the new model – Audi R8 in a dazzling launch function in New Delhi. Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt, who has a passion for the mean machine, drove in the Rs 7.1 Cr car and unveiled the luxury car.

It was a star studded event with celebrities from many fields turning up to catch a glimpse of the super car. Among those preset were Sanjay Dutt with wife Manyata, Malaika Arora Khan, author Shobha De and cricket commentator Ravi Shastri.

Powered by a giant 4.2 litre V 8 engine, the R8 powers up to a massive 420 BHP – this road rocket accelerates from 0-100kms in just 4.6 seconds and maxes out at 301 kmph. But all that style and speed comes at a price.

The sports car ‘R8′ is priced at Rs 1.17 crore (excluding Octroi, registration and transportation costs) for the Indian market.

Fifteen units of the luxury sports car have already been sold, even before the launch.
