Kareena Kapoor is the ‘Worst Actress’ and Deepika Padukone is the ‘Worst Supporting Actress’ in 2nd annual ‘Golden Kela’ awards

In the 2nd annual ‘Golden Kela’ awards held at the Indian Havitat Center, a spin-off on Hollywood’s Razzies, Bollywood actor Harman Baweja and Kareena Kapoor was named as the worst actor and worst actress respectively. Cyrus Broacha, who was awarded the ‘Cyrus Broacha Memorial Award’, is the chief guest for the function.

For the film ‘What’s Your Raashee?’ Harman won the ‘Worst Actor’ award and for the film ‘Kambakkht Ishq’, Kareena won ‘Worst Actress’ award. ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ stood as a ‘Worst Film’. Ashutosh Gowariker won ‘Worst Director’ for the movie, ‘What’s Your Raashee?’.

Madhur Bhandarkar (filmmaker) won the ‘Bas Kijiye Bahut Ho Gaya’ award, which mean to stop making the films. For participating in ‘Kambakkht Ishq’, even the Hollywood stars Denise Richards and Sylvester Stallone won the ‘Baawra Ho Gaya Hai Ke’ award, which mean ‘Have you gone muts’. The ‘Most Original Story’ award is to Rani Mukerji’s ‘Dil Bole Hadippa’ for being copied from Hollywood’s ‘She’s The Man’. Rani Mukerji and Shahid Kapoor were named as ‘worst Pair’. In a special category, Amithab Bachchan won ‘Emotional Blackmail’ for the film ‘Paa’.

Abhiskek Bachchan won the ‘Dare Singh Award’ for the worst accent in the film ‘Delhi 6′.For the worst treatment of a serious issue in the ‘New York’, both the director Kabir Khan and the producer Aditya Chopra received the ‘Lajja’ (shame) award.

Deepika Padukone won the ‘Worst Supporting Actress’ for the film ‘Chandini Chowk to China’. Ranvir Shorey was the ‘Worst Supporting Actor’ for the same film. Shruti Hassan and Jakky Bhagnani were declared as the ‘Worst Newcomer Actors’ for ‘Luck’ and ‘Kal Kissne Dekha’ respectively.

To receive awards, none of the stars named for the awards were present at the function.

The editorial board of Random magazine has short listed the nominees and categories and was selected by an online public poll on www.goldenkela.in. Random magazine launched these types of awards last year. The gala is a spin-off on Hollywood’s Golden Raspberry Awards, which recognizes the worst in the movies.
