Deepika Padukone to star opposite Rajnikanth in ‘Kochadaiyaan’

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone will soon be seen playing the lead role opposite Rajnikanth in the upcoming movie ‘Kochadaiyaan’. The makers of the movie for a long time were looking for a female lead role.

It has now been officially confirmed that Deepika will be starring in the lead female role. The film will be made in 3D and will be directed by Rajnikanth’s daughter Soundarya and will be written by K.S Ravi Kumar.

Earlier the ‘Om Shanti Om’ actress was roped in for the lead role opposite the mega south star in the movie ‘Rana’. Rajni shot for a few scenes in the movie but then he fell ill took a break to recover.

Some of the earlier reports said that actress Katrina Kaif was supposed to star in the movie. But the PRO of the production house later denied the news. For the time being the movie ‘Rana’ has been shelved and Rajni has taken up the project ‘Kochadaiyaan.
