Lamhaa banned in UAE for objectionable content

Lamhaa, Sanjay Dutt and Bipasha starrer is slated to release on July 16th worldwide.

This film not going to be screened in Kuwait, Qatar, UAE, in and Oman as the UAE Natioanl Media Council Censorship Board felt that the content of the movie is highly objectionable and controversial.

This is a movie from national award winning director Rahul Dholakia

The Indian censor board has already passed the film with an “A” certificate after correcting two dialogues in the film. Mr. Dholakia felt the action from UAE on this as outrageous.

Producer Bunty Walia dispatched prints that are subtitled in Arabic. Also, Mr. Walia, already disappointed with cancellation of premier at Srinagar as the local authorities feared backlash from the locals. Now, the third biggest market for hindi films, that is Middle East too took a back step from the film screening. Industry experts are predicting a three to five crore loss to the film due to this action.
