In fact Colors Tv Channel had asked Rajesh Khanna before Bigg Boss 3 began. But Khanna had reportedly put a condition that he must be allowed to drink alcohol inside the House , which was ruled out by the channel.

“We’ve opened up negotiations with Mr Khanna and he has agreed to be on the show. We will be introducing him in the show as a wildcard entry in the next two weeks,”said the bigg Boss 3 source.
