Basking in the super success of Singh is Kinng, producer Vipul Shah is set to make a sequel to the comedy and has signed on actor Akshay Kumar for it.
“After doing Waqt, Namastey London and Singh is Kinng, we had to do something that would take us into another zone. My next film with Akshay pushes the envelope even more. After that there’s the Singh Is Kinng sequel which I’d like Anees Bazmi to direct. But he’s very busy. So it depends on him,” said Shah.
So where did all the rumors of a rift with Akshay come from? “Search me,” Vipul said. “I was committed to a holiday from long before. I couldn’t  disappoint my sons. Akshay himself flew down from South Africa for just a day for his party and went back. So it was all done in a rush. Just because I don’t attend his party we’ve become enemies?”

De Dana Dan is a upcoming bollywood comedy film directed by Priyadarshan.

The film stars Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Katrina Kaif in lead roles.

This is not the first time these three stars are acting together for priyadarshan directed films , they have acted before hera pheri part1 and 2 and a few others

Other actors are  Paresh Rawal, Neha Dhupia and Sameera Reddy.

A source states, “It is not known who will direct the film, but the buzz is that it will be a known international filmmaker. The project is slated to begin when Chan is free. Unlike The Myth, which has a strong Chinese sense in the script, this movie will be on the lines of Rush Hour where two cultures come together. The sequel of 2008 blockbuster hit movie, Singh is Kinng, is all set to go on the floor.

The lead actor of the movie Akshay Kumar is quite excited about the development and so is producer Vipul Shah.

The director of Singh is King, Anees Bazmi, is busy with his other commitments, hence he will not be able to direct the sequel. Vipul Shah has decide to call the shots of Singh is Kinng’s sequels. He will be directing the film.

The lead pairs will remain the same. The sequel will have Akshay Kumar and the gorgeous Katrina Kaif playing the leads.

About 75% of the movie, Singh is Kinng, was shot in Australia, around the Gold Coast region and Brisbane using an Australian production team (Instinct India).

The film was released on 8 August 2008 and Akshay Kumar was nominated for Best Actor at the 3rd Asian Film Awards for his performance in the film.

The spelling of the word “king” in the film’s title with an additional letter “n” was based on advice provided by a numerologist.

Bollywood stars, making their debut in Hollywood movies is increasing with the passing day. Akshay Kumar has decided to go other way round.

Buzz is that Akshay Kumar is planning is to co-produce an Indo-Canadian project.

The title of the Hollywood movie will be ‘Break Away’. It will be under the banner of Akshay’s Hari Om Productions.

The film will be directed by Robert Lieberman of “The Tortured” famed.

The movie will have Canadian-born actor, Emily Van Camp, who has earlier acted in the hit television series “Brothers and Sisters.”

Akshay enjoys goodwill of Canadians after he became brand ambassador of 2010 winter Olympic Games in Canada.

Akshay Kumar is a popular figure in Canada. He recently played host at a dinner meeting between Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his Indian counter part Manmohan Singh.

The perfectionist of Bollywood, actor Aamir Khan, has made it to the first position of Filmfare Power List for the third time in a row. By doing so he has beaten his close competitor superstar, Shahrukh Khan.

Cumulative collection of Aamir Khan’s starrer Taare Zameen Par, Ghajini and 3 Idiots is Rs. 825 crore. Aamir Khan’s recent blockbuster 3 Idiots is the highest earning Bollywood film ever made till date.

Shah Rukh Khan has also retained the second position for the third time in a row.

Recently, Shahrukh Khan has done few movies and had hits like ‘Rab Ne Banadi Jodi’ and ‘My Name is Khan’.

With hat trick success, film maker Raju Hirani is placed 3rd on the Power list by Filmfare.

He is ahead of big names like Karan Johar and Yash Chopra, who are placed at  5th and 6th positions respectively.

Missing from the top 10 Power list are Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.

Kareena Kapoor is placed at 8th position and her rival Katrina Kaif is on the 10th position.

Hritik Roshan is on the 9th position of the Power list.

This is their sixth film and they have given the hits like ‘Hera Pheeri’, Bhool Bhulaiyya, etc.

The genre of the movie is satire comedy. ‘Khatta Meetha’ takes a dig at the corruption and bribery.

Khatta Meeta is a remake of the 1989 Malayalam film, which was also directed by Priyadarshan.

The movie revolves around struggling road construction contractor, Sachin Tichkule essayed by(Akshay Kumar). He has a dream of making it big, but there is no chance in hell that his dreams will ever come true, simply because he has no money to bribe. To make matters worse, the new municipal commissioner turns out to be his ex girl friend (Trisha Krishnan) who now hates him.

The film reveals in a comic way, the extent of corruption and bribery rampant in the system, and the native means you have to adopt if you want to survive and succeed.

Southern movie actress Trisha Krishnan is making her debut with Kahtta Meetha.

Trisha Krishnan who is debuting in Bollywood with ‘Khatta Meetha’ opposite Akshay Kumar has all praises for the star. She says, Akshay has put loads of efforts to make her feel comfortable while shooting.

Trisha is not new to acting. She has already done 30 fillms in South India. But being her first film in the Bollywood, she kept herself aloof while on the sets. She says, Akshay Kumar played really very important role in bringing back her comfort level.

Trisha said, “I wasn’t interacting much with people during my early days in ‘Khatta Meetha’. Khatta Meetha is slated to be released on July 23, 2010 and it is a film by Pridarshan. It is an Akshay Kumar home production ‘Hari Om’ in association with Shri Ashtavinayak.
