Amitabh Bachchan Blog

http://www.topnews.in/files/amitabh_bachchan.jpg

During an interview with IANS  in Mumbai on  May 2 Bachachan says Blog is my  extended family where I  shares  my  day-to-day life with my fans  and  now i am looking forward to see the faces of those who regularly visit my blog.

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan, who completed a year of blogging April 17, doesn’t want to tag his online friends who enrich his life as “faceless”.

I dont want my fans to be faceless . ‘Faceless’ is a harsh term. I refer to them as my ‘extended family’. They live  in me. They show love, affection and concern to me. They get upset at times and reprimand me… they miss me when I am not there on time. Are not all these wonderfully domesticated attributes?

“And now Big Adda (the website that hosts his blog) is developing software and my readers will be able to put up their photographs on the blog against their name. So they shall no longer be ‘faceless’,” the Big B told IANS in an interview.

Amitabh Bachchan Thanks Fans , Slams Media

Bollywood Star Amitabh Bachchan, who was discharged on  Friday from the Lilavati Hospital here after being treated for an abdominal condition, has thanked his fans for their good wishes but has hit out at the media for being "insensitive" while reporting on his illness.

“My sincerest thanks to all who gave me strength to fight another medical battle. The fans and well wishers. The media friends who wrote in on my mobile. Friends who visited me at the hospital and those that wrote in. Strangers who I never met or know,” Amitabh wrote on his blog www.bigb.bigadda.com Friday.

“Your love overwhelms me. Your concern for my well being humbles me. I owe so much to you,” the blog further read.

Amitabh slammed the media in the blog and mocked at their paparazzi approach when he was being taken to hospital in an ambulance after he had complained of abdominal pain on his 66th birthday Oct 11.

“There is a muted silence outside…No one says a word, except the media. They clamour and scream for that exclusive shot, invading the sanctity of the ambulance. They would never understand the sensitivity of the situation,” he wrote.

He added: “Media is an added hindrance to a smooth, quick emergent ride to Nanavati. If they had their way they would ideally want to be seated on the stretcher with me and have me answering questions – ‘What would be the celebrations for the birthday sir and will you be inviting Shah Rukh’. Insensitive. Callous.”

The star said he had plans of “rest and recuperation” at his Jalsa home apart from giving company to the women in his house for a quick glance of the moon from the roof to break their fast on “Karva Chauth”, which he termed a “torturous practice”.Current Rating

Last Lear Movie Review

Here is the film review of  the Last Lear. Director Rituparno Ghosh has managed to extract stellar performances from  Amitabh Bachchan, Preity Zinta, Arjun Rampal and Shefali Shah and Bachchan once again proves why he is a legend.

Excerpt from review:

The Last Lear is actually a series of dramatic dialogues sewn together in a pastiche that suggests pain to be the constant sublimal text of all human interaction.

The film is littered with luminous performances. If Divya Dutta is quiet and warm in her small role Shefali Shah simply takes over the screen each time she walks into the frames. Here’s an actress who forces you to watch her. And after Rock On Arjun Rampal delivers another pain-lashed performance, giving to the director’s role a resonance that takes it to an inexpected level of sensitivity. Read more »
