Jaane tu movie fame Imran Khan has reportedly proposed and got engaged to his long term girlfriend Avantika Malik in a secret ceremony.

Imran Khan is the Nephew of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan

All this reportedly happened on Avantika’s birthday on July 18 .

The formal engagement ceremony will be held in January 2010,

Says Imran Khan, “Yes, my relation with Avantika is true. But we’re planning to have an apposite ceremony later, right now it’s just for us and our families.”

“I feel whoever you are in a relationship with, needs to feel like an important part of your life.  The soulmate is very important support system. I’m glad to have her by my side,” he adds.

The news came at Arjun Rampal’s lounge bar / restaurant opening in  Dehi where many celebs were seen congratulating the couple on their engagement.

Imran Khan is going to star in uncle Aamir Khan’s Delhi Belly.

The film will be shot in English and the movie is suppose to be a dark sex comedy.

Imran Khan will play a NRI who comes back to Delhi and the movie has been directed by ad filmmaker Abhinay Deol.
